Chalet Saudade Hotel Sintra

Stayed at a cozy place near Quinta da Regaleira. LOVED the breakfast, especially the custard tart! Super friendly staff. Would choose this spot againie. The garden area is even better in person. Can't wait to go back!

Omg 😍 the staff surprised me with a huge flower basket for my birthday! the room had a super comfy bed with a view of the garden and atlantic. The breakfast at their cafe was a feast 🥐🌺. Only downside: no pets allowed 🐾.

The charming guesthouse exceeded expectations with its fabulous staff, delicious breakfast, and breathtaking views. A minor hiccup with room requests was swiftly resolved. The historic house's stairs add character, though may pose a challenge for some. A lovely stay with memorable touches.

During our visit to Sintra to explore the nearby historic attractions, we were pleasantly surprised by the charming guest house we stayed at. The room layout exceeded our expectations, offering a separate sitting area and a cozy bedroom. The staff were incredibly helpful in planning our itinerary, especially for visiting the nearby castles. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the nearby cafe and the attention to detail in the decor added to the overall experience.

The place is awesome, it’s like stepping into a dream with the way they’ve fixed up the old mansion. The crew is super friendly and so helpful, plus the rooms are spacious and spotless - AC, too! Just waking up to the sound of birds chirping outside and looking at that gorgeous garden view was a real treat. The only downside was having to hoof it up and down stairs 'cause there ain't no elevator, even though our room was on the ground floor. 🌿

We loved the charming decor and fairy doors throughout the building. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a big bed and bathroom. The complimentary port wine was a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a great variety of options. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the train station. The staff, especially the young lady at the front desk, were incredibly helpful and friendly. They even provided us with paper bags for our sandwiches when we went out exploring.

Felt like a home away from home, nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms overlook the beautiful Fox Valley, which provided a peaceful wake-up with the birds chirping. It felt like waking up in a fairytale, surrounded by nature's orchestra, creating a serene and magical ambiance.

Christina and Kate were friendly and helpful, recommending sightseeing spots and assisting with bookings. The delicious breakfast at Cafe Saudade, just a short walk away, made me want to return to Sintra. The quirky building's lack of a lift added character but made carrying luggage a bit cumbersome. The staff's friendliness compensated for the lack of a view in our room, and the convenient location near the train station and old town made exploring Sintra a breeze. The delightful breakfast, fresh and tasty, further enhanced our stay.

The Chalet Saudade welcomed us warmly, with comfy beds and delightful little touches like free port in the evening. The breakfast at the nearby cafe was outstanding, making it hard to leave after just one night. The staff was helpful, the location superb, and the space well-cared for. However, the noise from adjoining rooms and lack of elevator were minor inconveniences.

Absolutely loved the friendly and accommodating staff at the hotel. They treated us like royalty and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. the breakfast at the hotel's cafe was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from. the staff there also provided boxed breakfasts for our early check-out, which was a really nice touch. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of most attractions and the train station. This made it easy for us to explore the area without any hassle.

That there was no fridge in the room. This meant that we couldn't store milk or sugar for our tea or coffee.

I recently stayed at a charming guest house in a very convenient area. The hotel was located just a short walk from the train station and close to all the sightseeing places. The staff were very attentive and even helped with the luggage. The rooms on the lower ground floor had direct access to a private garden with a terrific view over the mountains. The included breakfast at the nearby bakery was absolutely delicious, with a huge mug of coffee and freshly baked homemade bread.

Everything was perfect, nothing to improve.

We had a good location that was near the train station, which made it very easy to get around town. The staff were friendly and assisted us with recommendations on what to do and where to eat. the room was cozy, the bathroom was clean, and the breakfast was good enough.

The private entrance was a nice bonus, adding to the overall comfort and tranquility. Mary & Luis, the owners, have done an exceptional job modernizing the hotel while preserving its original style and charm. The nearby cafe owned by the owners served an exceptional dinner. The staff, especially Filipa and Inish, were welcoming and helpful, making us feel like cherished guests. We only wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy everything this delightful hotel has to offer.

The room had a beautiful view, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was great. One small downside was the slightly repetitive breakfast after 4 days. Overall, a charming hotel in a perfect location in Sintra. Highly recommended!

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing, welcoming, and helped me a lot during my time here. The location was perfect, very close to the railway station, making it easy to reach all the main attractions. Additionally, there were many restaurants nearby, although it was still a 10-minute walk to the city center. The hotel facilities were great, and I enjoyed using the common area to relax and read. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had lovely views of the sunset. The breakfast at the hotel cafe was delicious, and there was plenty of it.

Always my top pick. 1st stay, staff helped with money exchange. Perfect fit for me - Wi-Fi, Welcome drink, Paid shuttle, Laundry, TV. No pets, A/C, No smoking. Returning for Xmas.

The decoration at the hotel was charming and cozy, with lovely vintage touches and comfortable seating areas where I could relax and enjoy a cup of tea. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people, which made it a perfect place to unwind and socialize with other guests. I particularly appreciated the easy access to the main attractions in the area, allowing me to explore without any difficulty.

I would have appreciated an earlier breakfast time, perhaps by 7 or 7:30 AM, to better accommodate senior guests who enjoy starting their day early. This way, the children working there could ensure a more comfortable and leisurely vacation for us older guests.

The room smelled like a mix of mystery and adventure, truly unique. Breakfast was an exciting game of patience and surprise, like playing restaurant Hunger Games.

I just loved everything too much, there was absolutely nothing to not like about it.
